Growth intelligence for engineers who do more than code.

About

We built develoom because the real work was going unrecorded.

Performance reviews run on memory. The evidence does not.

Why develoom exists

Every six or twelve months, engineers reconstruct what they did from commit history and half-remembered threads. Managers reconstruct it from whatever they happened to notice. Both sides then negotiate over an incomplete picture, and the outcome depends on who kept better notes.

Meanwhile the actual evidence is sitting untouched in GitHub, Linear, Jira, Slack, and Google Docs. Engineering analytics tools already count the code. They do not see the design doc that unblocked a team, the review comment that prevented an outage, or the thread where someone quietly aligned three stakeholders. That work is most of what separates one level from the next, and it is the part that goes unrecorded.

develoom closes that gap. It connects to the tools a team already uses, maps everyday artefacts to the behaviours in that company’s career framework, and keeps one continuous picture that the engineer and the manager both see.

What we build

  • A read-only integration layer over the tools engineering teams already run on: GitHub, Linear, Jira, Slack, Google Docs.
  • A mapping layer that turns everyday artefacts into evidence against your own competency ladder, not a generic one. The reference behind that mapping is published at source context.
  • Two views on the same truth: a growth picture for the engineer, and a team picture for the manager. No spreadsheets, no brag docs.

Who builds it

develoom is built by the same small group that works directly with every early access team. There is no sales layer in between. The address on this site reaches the people writing the product.

Where we are

develoom is in early access, rolling out to a small number of engineering teams, typically 15 to 100 engineers, that already run a career framework. There is no self-serve signup and no public pricing yet. Early access teams get free access and a direct line to the roadmap while the product is shaped around real workflows. If that sounds like your team, the signup form or a plain email both work.

What we will not do

develoom does not write anything back into your tools. It does not bypass existing permissions: if a manager cannot see something in your tools, they will not see it in develoom. Raw commits, messages, and tickets are not kept around long-term, and customer data is never used to train AI models. The detail is in the privacy policy.
